Drone Attack on School Occupied by IDPs in Al-Abbasiya Tagali, South Kordofan State

On Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, a devastating drone attack targeted a school occupied by internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Al-Abbasiya Tagali, South Kordofan. The attack, attributed to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which was targeting the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) garrison, has resulted in loss of life and injuries among vulnerable civilians, including women and children.

Five children from the Jabara family were killed in the attack, aged between two and seven years old. Several others were injured. Justice Africa Sudan strongly condemns this attack on civilian populations as a grave violation of international humanitarian law.

JAS calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians and IDP sites, unimpeded humanitarian access, and accountability for perpetrators, ending the culture of impunity and working towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict. …read more
