Please find attached my briefing note titled “Sudan’s Proposed National Dialogue and the Challenges Ahead.” The paper outlines the historical context, structural obstacles, and essential prerequisites for a credible and inclusive national dialogue in Sudan. It also draws comparative lessons from Ghana’s experience in consensus building and constitutional reform. Given the ongoing conflict, the fragmentation of authority, and the deepening humanitarian crisis, I believe it is critical to examine the risks of the current dialogue initiative and to highlight the conditions required for a process that can genuinely contribute to peace, legitimacy, and national reconstruction.
