Sudanese Justice system victimising the victims (Ms. H. A) case

Ms H A was raped by four elements from the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum in June 2023 she become pregnant as result of that, she them moved to Wadi Halfa Northern State in her attempt to reach Egypt but due to the boarder closure she stuck in Wadi Halfa, staying as Internally Displaced (IDP) in one of the schools in the area. When She gave birth to her child, she was asked from the child father or a marriage certificate, as she doesn’t have that, the police arrested her and charged her under article 146 Sudan Penal Code 1991 (Adultery).

Ms H A is victim of a horrible crime and need protection and support with her new born child. We also learned from our network of lawyers and human rights monitors in the ground that there is other four cases going through similar processes. …read more
